How to make white amish bread ?
Homemade white Amish bread is perfect for
the first day of a burger, and the next day for French toast, grilled cheese,
or toast. A great home baking recipe that's an absolute treasure.
This recipe produces two loaves of white
bread. I want to do this on the day we get roast beef, because we have hot
bread that we enjoy with dinner.
The products were so simple that there was
absolutely nothing strange about it. Sugar, water and yeast. I knew this was
something I was going to toss away, but I thought I would do it all over again.
It's really cheap bread, and if I failed, I wouldn't go out much.
* You will need the following components :
° 6 cups of bread flour.
° 1 cup warm water.
° 1 cup warm milk.
° 1 1/2 teaspoon salt.
° 1/3 cup sugar.
° 1/4 cup vegetable oil.
° 1 + 1/2 tablespoon active dry yeast.
* Directions :
Step 1:
In a medium bowl, I mixed sugar and warm
water together, then removed the yeast. Hold the yeast until it forms a creamy
froth.
Step 2:
I added warm milk to the yeast mixture and
mixed it properly.
Step 3:
I mixed one cup of flour with a blender or
by hand, mixed it into roughly one cup of flour, and kneaded until flat.
The fourth step:
I put the dough in very hot oil and turned
around to cover the surface. Covering dough with a cleany towel & let it
rise for an 1 h .
Punch, knead for a few minutes. I divided
dough tp 2 parts.
Fifth step:
I roll the dough into a loaf and place it
in greased loaf trays, cover it again and let it rise for 30 minutes, or until
it rises about an inch in a skillet.
The Sixth Step:
They baked for 30 minutes at 350 degrees
Fahrenheit, placed in various utensils after cooking and then on cooling racks.
The seventh step:
I cleaned the loaf surfaces with a little
melted butter just before eating. This will help keep the crust and keep it soft.
