Chicken Pot Pie

* Ingredients :

 

° 1/3 cup butter

° 1/3 cup all-purpose flour

° 1/3 cup chopped onion

° Salt 1/2 tsp

° 1/4 teaspoon pepper

° 1 3/4 cup chicken broth

° 2/3 cup milk

° 2 1/2 to 3 cups of cooked chicken or shredded turkey

° 1 can (10 ounce) frozen peas and carrots

° 1 box (14.1 ounce) chilled Pillsbury ™ pies (2 packs), diluted as directed on the box

 

* Steps :

In a 2 liter saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Adding flour, onion, salt & pepper. Cooking, stirring, To mixture becomes bubbles; Remove from heat. Stir in the broth and milk. Overheat it to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for a minute. Add chicken, peas and carrots. Remove from heat.

Preheated oven to 425 degrees F . Rolling 1 pie crust to a 13 inch square . Dilute in an ungreased glass 9 inch (2 L) baking dish. Pour chicken mixture into a plate lined with crust.

Roll the remaining pie crust into 11 square inches. Cut out designs with a 1 inch cookie cutter. Place the square over the chicken mixture. Arrange the cutouts on the surface of the shell. Turn the edges of the pie crust down; Flute edge.
