°1 lb. crumbled minced meat
°1 yellow onion, diced
°3 to 4 pounds potatoes, peeled and sliced
°8 ounces or more of shredded cheddar cheese
°1 can of mixed cheddar cheese soup
°12 ounces evaporated milk or whole milk
°Half a cup of milk
°1 teaspoon of salt
°Half a teaspoon pepper

Preheat oven to 350 *
Spray a 9" x 13" baking dish with nonstick cooking spray
In a large skillet, add the onion and minced meat and stir-fry until the meat is tender
Cut the potatoes into slices of about
Add a layer of potatoes to the bottom of the baking tray
Sprinkle with salt and pepper
Cover with about half of the meat mixture and spread evenly over the potatoes
Sprinkle with half of the grated cheese
Repeat this two more times in layers
The last layer should be the remaining cheese
In a bowl, combine the cheddar cheese soup mix, milk, and evaporated milk, and season with salt and pepper to taste
Pour the soup mixture over the potato and beef mixture
Cover the baking tray tightly with aluminum foil and place in the oven
Bake for 1 hour
Remove the aluminum foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes to decorate the cheese with a golden layer.
If the potatoes are thicker, you will have to cook the dish longer
