Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef
2 cups raw elbow macaroni
8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
3 cups water
1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes (with juice)
1 can (29 oz) tomato sauce
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp sugar
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Brown the ground beef in a large pot, draining excess fat.
Add onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, and garlic. Cook until vegetables soften (~5 minutes).
Stir in water, tomato sauce, and diced tomatoes.
Add Italian seasoning, paprika, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Add crushed red pepper flakes for heat, if desired.
Bring to a boil, then simmer for 15 minutes for flavors to meld.
Add uncooked macaroni, simmering until tender (10-15 minutes).
