°2 tubes of prepared croissant dough
°8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
°2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
°1 teaspoon lemon juice
°Half a cup of light brown sugar
°Half a cup of granulated white sugar
°1 teaspoon vanilla
+icing:
°Half a cup of powdered sugar
°4 teaspoons of milk
°1 teaspoon vanilla
*Directions
The first step:
Preheat oven to 350 *
Put parchment paper on the baking tray
The second step:
Open the croissant dough tubes and do not flatten them
In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, lemon juice, vanilla, and granulated sugar until well combined.
Third step:
Using a sharp knife, cut ½" to ¾" thick slices from the croissant rolls. Again, do not open it.
Place each slice on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper
The fourth step:
With each slice, use your fingers to create a slightly raised edge on the dough. This will hold the filling
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with the light brown sugar and mix
Fifth step:
Using a pastry brush, brush each slice with butter.
Put equal amounts of filling on each slice
Sixth step:
Bake for 15 to 17 minutes, or until lightly browned
In another small bowl, mix the powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk, and stir until combined.
Seventh step:
Put a layer of glaze on top of each Danish cheese
The dane can then be topped with your choice of fruit or eaten plain.
