Taco braid

*Ingredients

°Refrigerated pizza dough in 13.8 oz tube
°1 pound ground beef
°1.25 oz packet taco seasoning
°¾ cup of water
°1 cup refried beans
°1 cup salsa
°2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or mixed Mexican shredded cheese)
°2 c finely diced tomato
°2 tsp melte butter
°2 cup lettuce, for serve

* Methods

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown and crumble the ground beef. Drain excess fat.
Add taco seasoning and water and stir until well incorporated. Reduce heat  and simmer for 5-7 min to thick
Preheat oven 375 degrees F. Place chilled pizza dough on a large piece of parchment paper and roll out dough to measure 10 X 15 inches.
Using a pizza cutter (or a sharp knife), cut slices (1-½ inch thick and 3 inches long) along both long sides of the dough.
Place refried beans in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for about 45 seconds until soft enough to spread. Spread the refried beans evenly in the center of the batter.
Top the beans with seasoned ground beef in the center of the batter.
Spread the salsa evenly over the ground beef. Then add the grated cheese and diced tomatoes.
Starting at one end of the braid, fold the end up and wrap the first two slices to secure it. Repeat wrapping with the remaining slices until the last two.
Fold the remaining end up and roll the last two slices over it to secure them well.
Gently brush top and sides with melted butter.
Carefully transfer the parchment to a large rimmed baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
Let cool 5 minutes before serving. Top with chopped lettuce and tomatoes, if desired. Serving with sour cream & taco sauce.

Enjoy !
