Grandma’s Old-Fashioned Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce

 




This This amazing old fashioned bread pudding makes a very tasty recipe for a decadent bread dessert with vanilla sauce !! Yep, this family recipe is easy to make made from just a few simple ingredients and full of homemade flavor !!



WHAT YOU NEED :


- White bread: 4 cups (8 slices) *cubed

- Raisins: 1/2 cup 

- Milk: 2 cups 

- Butter: 1/4 cup 

- Sugar: 1/2 cup 

- Eggs: 2 (slightly beaten)

- Vanilla: 1 tablespoon 

- Ground nutmeg: 1/2 teaspoon


#For the Sauce: 


- Butter: 1/2 cup

- Sugar: 1/2 cup 

- Heavy whipping cream: 1/2 cup 

- Vanilla: 1 tablespoon 



METHOD OF WORK :


#For the Pudding:


1. Before you start the preparation, start your oven to preheat to 350°F.

2. Then you're going to get large bowl and combine in bread and raisins.

3. In 1-quart saucepan, combine together milk and 1/4 cup butter and cook for 4 to 7 minutes over medium heat until butter is melted. Once done, go ahead and pour milk mixture over bread and let stand 10 minutes.

4. Alright now, you need to stir in all remaining pudding ingredients.

5. Finally, make sure to pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole and bake until set in center, it takes around 40 to 50 minutes.


#For the Sauce:


1. All sauce ingredients, except vanilla, need to be combined in 1-quart saucepan. After that, cook for 5 to 8 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture thickens and comes to a full boil.

2. Immediately, you may want to take off the heat and stir in vanilla.

3. To serve, always remember to spoon warm pudding into individual dessert dishes; and please serve with sauce. To finish, store refrigerated
