Let's go through some really easy frequently asked questions.

* Ingredients :

° 2 cups all-purpose flour
° 1/3 cup softened butter
° 5 cups of blackberries or any other berries of your choice
° 3 cups divided sugar plus 1 tbsp
° 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (I used lemon this time because it was all my own and it was the same)
° 2 teaspoons baking powder
° 1 cup whole milk
° 2 tablespoons cornstarch
° 1 1/2 cups boiling water
° 1 teaspoon divided salt

* Instructions :

Spread the berries in a buttered 2 1/2 liter casserole dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice or lime and stir with 1 tablespoon of sugar. Berries, especially blackberries can be very tart, so sugar really helps calm that down. You want them to taste as if you were eating them on their own.

Bring the water to a boil. In a bowl, stirring flour, 1 1/2 cups sugar, milk/  butter / baking powder, & 1/2 tsp salt. The mixture will be thick. This is exactly what you want. Pour over berries and spread over the ends. Sit aside. Make sure the mixture is all the way up to the tip so that it creates a seal.

In a small bowl, mix the rest of the sugar, starch, and salt and sprinkle them evenly over the mixture.

Enjoy !
